[Abstract]
It is 10 years since iPS cell technologies were developed by Shinya Yamanaka's group. There is increasing interest in this technology in terms of i) regenerative medicine and ii) disease modeling and application for drug development.


Challenges Towards Stem Cell Therapy for Parkinson's Disease

[Abstract]
We have developed a method for 1) scalable dopaminergic (DA) neuron induction on human laminin fragment and 2) sorting DA progenitor cells using a floor plate marker. This method is favorable in terms of both safety and efficacy of the transplantation, and we are preparing for the clinical application of human iPSCs to treat Parkinson's disease.
